Hydrangea paniculata Early Sensation

Hydrangea paniculata Early Sensation has one of the earliest and most original flowers available: initially white, the panicles of flowers then turn reddish-pink.

Similar to the 'Vanilla Strawberry' variety but with earlier flowering, Hydrangea paniculata 'Early Sensation' blooms from the end of June to October. It continuously adorns itself with large panicles of white flowers that turn intense pink, so that the shrub carries both young white flowers and older pink ones until mid-autumn.

The flowers attract butterflies and the panicles are carried by long, thick, and very rigid branches. Paniculate Hydrangea has dark green deciduous foliage that turns red in autumn.

A shrub with an erect and rounded habit, it reaches a height of 1.5 m (4 ft 11 in). It is a vigorous and robust species with very good hardiness. It can be placed both isolated and in masses or flower beds. It is a plant that thrives by the sea. It also grows very well in containers. Its flowers are also used for creating both fresh and dried bouquets.
