Fosteriana tulips, also known as 'Emperor' Tulips, are a group of tulips that flower early, sometimes as early as March 15, right after the botanical species. This group is known for having the most stunning tulips, with some being bicoloured like 'Juan' (orange with a yellow base) and some solid colours like white ('White Emperor/ Purissima'), pink ('Pink Emperor/Solva'), yellow ('Golden Emperor'), orange, or red ('Red Emperor/Madame Lefeber').

The stems of these tulips vary in height, but they all have beautifully shaped flowers with brightly coloured petals on broad foliage that is either bright green or silver, sometimes streaked or marbled with purple-brown. They generally survive for a long time in the garden and can spread spontaneously in favourable soil, so there is no need to replace them regularly.

You'll adore them!
