Collection of 2 strawberry grape vines
I received my first order on April 15th (1 pied de perdrix, 1 perlette, and 2 nera isabelle). The pied de perdrix is very beautiful, perlette is nice, but several buds are damaged. The first nera is superb with 5 healthy buds, but the second nera is nice, although 3 out of 5 buds are broken. I received my second order today (1 nera, 1 bianca isabelle). The nera is fine, but the bianca is broken. I want to mention that the two nera and the bianca I bought from you last year are truly wonderful this year. Despite the broken buds, I am almost certain that they will all recover. The nera already has 5 beautiful buds that have started to grow. It may take longer, which is a minor detail in these difficult times. The quality of your plants is excellent, as well as the packaging and transportation. There is only one issue that caught my attention: the plastic ties are not tight to the support, which causes the vine to move a bit and the buds to be cut off. I think that using tightly secured fabric ties would avoid this kind of problem. I suggest this to you, as I have been a professional for 40 years. Best regards, take care, André Gues.

Collection of 2 varieties of Fragola vines with an exceptional aroma of wild strawberries.
The collection consists of:
- x 1 Fragola Nera Vine: perhaps better known as Isabella or Odess, this is an old hybrid variety that produces beautiful clusters of black grapes, with pulp that has an aromatic and fragrant flavour reminiscent of wild strawberries. Its medium-sized grapes can be consumed as they are, as juice or in jams.
- x 1 Fragola Bianca Vine: perhaps better known as 'Grape-strawberry', due to the unique flavour and aroma of its fruits, this is an old hybrid variety. It produces clusters of white-pink grapes, with clear pulp, seedless and sweet, revealing a taste of wild strawberries with hints of blackcurrant. Its small-sized grapes can be consumed as they are, as juice or in syrup.
Harvest takes place, depending on the region, the year, and the climate, from September to October. Planted in a sunny spot, Fragola vines will be very decorative along a wall, on a pergola, in the ground, or in a large container on a terrace.

Botanical data
The Fragola grapevine is planted in ordinary but well-drained soil, neutral or acidic (unlike European vines that prefer limestone), rather moist, which you will have enriched with an organic fertiliser. Once well established, the vine withstands summer drought quite well. Choose a sunny exposure, possibly partial shade in the south (southeast exposure). It can tolerate temperatures as low as -20°C (1°F). Prune it in February-March, after the last frost, leaving 2 or 3 buds on the secondary shoots. Prune it again once the berries have formed on the clusters, leaving 2 or 3 leaves above each cluster (this allows the sun to reach the fruits and the sap to feed them more effectively). Once the framework of your trellis is formed, remove every year the shoots that have produced fruits. Support and guide the shoots by tying or training. Train it against a wall to directly benefit from the grapes. Downy mildew and powdery mildew are common (especially in rainy climates). This vine may take a season to establish well, during which it will grow at a moderate rate. Its woody climbing stems will then gain several meters per year and will require pruning.

Hardiness is the lowest winter temperature a plant can endure without suffering serious damage or even dying. However, hardiness is affected by location (a sheltered area, such as a patio), protection (winter cover) and soil type (hardiness is improved by well-drained soil).

Pruning of summer-flowering shrubs (Indian Lilac, Perovskia, etc.) can be done in winter or spring.
In cold regions as well as with frost-sensitive plants, avoid pruning too early when severe frosts may still occur.
