Every year, in early December, Pantone reveals the colour of the upcoming year, setting a new chromatic trend. After the violet blue of 2022, named "Veri Peri," we're heading towards "Viva Magenta" for 2023, an intrepid red that dangerously approaches saturated pink, with a hint of blue. A rich and strong colour, full of life and promise, whose exuberance celebrates strength and propels optimism.
This color will be everywhere this year, in ready-to-wear collections, beauty, and interior decoration. Let's showcase it in the garden or on the terrace! Crimson red easily pairs with pastel tones, enhancing their nuances, and its combination with white has a royal touch. It stands up to the bright sun and comes alive with warm or cool gleams, backlit or in partial shade. Naturally at home in a red garden or a pink garden to create vibrant, even exotic scenes, it can also be used in small touches to energize flower beds or a too-tame terrace.
A vibrant and powerful color, "Viva Magenta" gives substance to the garden. With its touch of blue that prevents it from being as intense as a classic red, it can be integrated into numerous scenes and paired with colors as diverse as orange for a vitamin effect, the anise green of lady's mantle, the insolent green of spurge flowers for a highly complementary combination. All shades of blue, from perennial geraniums to agapanthus, blend harmoniously with magenta. Pale pink soothes and envelops it. This powerful red is stunning under the Mediterranean sun, especially with gray or silver foliage. In shade, it can be paired with the white flowers of mock orange or variegated foliage to create luminous scenes.
Shrubby salvias, peonies, roses, heucheras, masterworts, petunias, hydrangeas... discover the plant palette in "Viva Magenta" mode!
