Discover our transformative teal plants, the trending garden colour for 2026. It is embodied in the Eucalyptus ‘Baby Blue’, with its rounded young blue-grey leaves, setting the tone for this elusive hue. It is concentrated in the cushions of blue fescue ‘Elijah Blue’, a small perennial ornamental grass with fine foliage of a striking metallic blue. The verdigris becomes a botanical cathedral in the form of Agave americana, an architectural plant for arid lands with thick leaves. Also architectural, the Yucca rostrata raises a slender trunk crowned with a dome bristling with steel blue. In a shaded woodland, you can invite the languid Hosta ‘Waterslide’ and its leaves rippling with water green. In a pot on a sheltered sunny terrace, or as a groundcover in a Mediterranean garden, it is the powdery blue of the creeping groundsel Senecio serpens ‘Dwarf Blue’ that creates a mineral-like carpet.
Transformative Teal is THE standout colour of 2026. These patinated blue-greens compose an almost liquid backdrop in the garden, a calm and serene base against which warmer colours stand out.
