Our range of Carex with decorative seed heads brings texture and originality to gardens with their attractive seed heads and elegant foliage.

Carex grayi, better known as club sedge, stands out with its star-shaped seed heads or small greenish, spiky heads. It is a plant with unusual charm that will bring dynamism to shaded beds. The native Carex pendula has captivating, long trailing spikes, very decorative at the edge of a water feature. Carex liparocarpos or Shiny-fruited sedge, produces rounded, shiny fruits in the shape of bottles, called utricles. The Shiny-fruited sedge thrives in arid meadows, including in the mountains, where it is present up to 2000 metres altitude.
