Description

Floriferous herbaceous perennials that are always striking in a garden. Plants grown in small pots with only one stem often give poor results when planted, so we grow them for an additional year in larger pots to encourage branching and promote better establishment in the garden.

Note: From March to September, the stems of our delphiniums are pruned back to promote better branching and achieve optimal root development. This also prevents the stems from breaking during transportation.

Planting and care

Delphiniums are not difficult to grow but dislike heavy and wet soils, as well as dry and poor soils. The soil that suits them is fertile, rich in humus, non-compact, moist, even in summer, but without excess wet in winter, and sheltered from strong winds. Under these conditions, they will live for many years. Also, beware of slugs and snails that can cause damage at the beginning of growth.
