Thanks to the staff (for order preparation and shipping), the rose bush I received looks healthy. Planted in the ground, close to the "Courage" variety, I am now patiently waiting for it to take root... or not?

The 'Garden Of Roses' rose is a small, compact bush. Very floriferous, it gives the impression of a rose garden all by itself. The rose, truly remarkable, is a fully filled flower with a spreading cup shape, reminiscent of old roses. With a pastel pink colour and apricot nuances, its petals are delicately scented. Its flowering is continuous from June until the first frost.
This small rose is used as a ground cover or in borders, at the base of a wall or a bush that you will see dressed up for the entire summer. It is also a dwarf rose that can be kept in a pot, on a terrace for example. It is a very disease- and cold-resistant rose.
'Garden Of Roses' is a creation of Kordes, a highly reputable German family of rose breeders. The creations from this house are very often awarded at the national and international level. Also known as 'Joie De Vivre', it was under this name that it was awarded the title of Rose of the Year 2011 in England.
Kordes creation 2005, ADR 2009.
(ADR: Allgemeine Deutsche Rosenneuheitenprüfung, an examination that rewards natural beauty, ease of maintenance, regularity, and disease resistance without any treatment or amendment, extremely rigorous criteria, a very difficult award to obtain.)

Botanical data
The 'Garden Of Roses' prefers sunny locations. It does not appreciate excessive limestone, but tolerates it. It will adapt to any garden as long as the soil is well worked and sufficiently rich. To plant your rose, prepare the soil by crumbling it well and adding an amendment such as dried blood or dehydrated horn at the bottom of the planting hole. Water generously after planting to remove any air pockets. Water regularly for a few weeks to facilitate root growth. In a pot, make sure the potting soil is never completely dry, except in very cold weather. For pruning ground cover roses, cut them back to 30 cm (12in) from the ground before the buds start to grow but after the risk of frost has passed (February-April). Also, occasionally remove some of the old branches to promote healthy growth. In a pot, give it a nice shape by removing crossing branches. As the flowers bloom, remove faded flowers to encourage the development of other buds. Roses are often stained or unsightly towards the end of summer, but this is not a problem for their development. These stains are not harmful to the rose and are a natural phenomenon.

Hardiness is the lowest winter temperature a plant can endure without suffering serious damage or even dying. However, hardiness is affected by location (a sheltered area, such as a patio), protection (winter cover) and soil type (hardiness is improved by well-drained soil).
