Description

This English Lawn mix is a blend of coated seeds that creates a high-quality lawn, enhancing the environment of beautiful properties. It allows for the creation of a particularly aesthetic, homogeneous, and fine-textured lawn with an impeccable appearance. The seeds are sown in spring, or at the beginning of autumn in dry climates, in the sun, in well-prepared and loosened garden soil. A 5kg box allows for sowing 175 m².

Composition: 100% coated seeds.

  • White coating: controls the dosage and distribution of seeds. Better adherence to the soil.
  • 25% English ryegrass
  • 40% creeping red fescue
  • 20% semi-trailing red fescue
  • 10% sheeps fescue
  • 5% meadow fescue.

Product characteristics and advantages:

  • Persistent colour, extremely fine foliage, and good density of plant cover.
  • Coated seeds for better seed retention and adherence to the soil.
  • Germination between 4 and 20 days depending on the species.

Usage and dosage:

  • 5 kg: up to 175 m²
  • Sowing rate: approximately 29 g/m²

In the hottest and driest regions it is almost impossible to maintain a lawn that stays green in summer without watering. If not watered, it will often take on the characteristic appearance of a 'doormat'. However, it will regain its green colour as soon as the rains return in late summer or early autumn.

Planting and care

Sowing:

Sow directly in place, from March to June (sow in September-October in hot and dry climates), in well-prepared soil, free from weeds, refined and raked. Scatter the seeds on the surface of the soil and lightly rake to cover them. Optionally, use a roller to firmly press the seeds into the ground. Water regularly with a fine spray to keep the soil slightly moist until germination if it doesn't rain.

Germination: favourable temperature of 15 to 30°C and maintainance of soil moisture. Germination occurs between 4 and 20 days depending on the species.

Watering: The first watering should be done straight after sowing to allow the seed to swell, then every 3 days until germination. Preferably water in the evening or morning, and do not water in case of high temperatures.

Dosage:

  • 1 box of 5kg for 175 m², approximately 29 g/m²
