Description

The Express 4 Seasons Lawn Reseeding mix is for renovating leisure and ornamental lawns. It ensures very rapid regrowth, even in less favourable climatic conditions. This selection, intended to reseed bare areas of an old lawn, is particularly recommended for coastal gardens or those in hotter southern regions. The product consists of coated seeds, 100% English Ryegrass. This very perennial grass has excellent resistance to trampling. The white colour of the coating allows for better control of seeding dosage and distribution. The seeds are sown by broadcasting, in the sun, in well-prepared and loosened soil. You can sow all year round, but the most favourable periods are from March to June and September-October. 1kg covers up to 50 m² when reseeding bare areas.

Planting and care

Sowing:

Sowing is possible all year round, but preferably in March-April or September-October. Sow in the sun onto well-worked soil, free of weeds, refined and raked. Sow by broadcasting on the surface of the soil and then lightly rake to cover the seeds. Optionally, use a roller to ensure good adhesion of the seeds to the soil. Regularly water with a fine spray to keep the soil slightly moist until germination if it doesn't rain.

Dosage:

  • 1 box of 1kg for 50 m², approximately 20 g/m²

To reseed bare areas of the lawn: 1 kg for 50 m²

  • Scratch into the areas to be treated with a simple hand rake if they are small and few. If you have larger and more numerous patches then use a scarifier to aerate, loosen and remove any moss.
  • Rake the soil to remove plant debris and small stones.
  • Prepare a mixture of potting soil and compost.
  • Spread about 1cm (0in) of this mixture on the areas to be repaired.
  • Rake it in so that it penetrates the surface of the soil.
  • Level the surface with a roller or a board.
  • Then sow your lawn for reseeding.
  • Cover the seeds with a very thin layer of the mixture and tamp down well.
  • Water with a very fine spray to avoid displacing the seeds.
