Description

The Short Grass Meadow Mix for Dry Ground is a blend of sturdy, low-maintenance grass that creates a water-efficient, heat and drought-resistant lawn suitable for coastal gardens. This combination establishes a long-lasting and robust carpet that remains green throughout the year, including winter and summer, if the soil is not excessively dry. The Dry Ground mixture is naturally strong and can be used on all types of soils, including heavy clay. Sow the seeds in March-April or early autumn for best results in well-prepared and loosened soil under direct sunlight. One kilogram of seeds can cover up to 35 square metres.

Composition:

  • Mycosem: a lawn seed coating solution containing mycorrhizal propagules, it promotes growth and root system function.
  • 20% English Ryegrass 4N FABIAN
  • 40% Tall Fescue ESSENTIAL
  • 40% Tall Fescue GREENFRONT

Product features and benefits:

  • Very good heat and footfall resistance, very little watering, ideal for coastal areas
  • Eco-friendly Lawn label

Usage and dosage:

  • 1 kg: up to 35 m²
  • Sowing rate: about 28 g/m²

Note: In regions that experience hotter and drier weather, it's almost impossible to maintain a green lawn in summer without any watering. Without watering, the lawn will often have the appearance of a doormat. However, it will turn green again quickly once the rains return.

Planting and care

Sowing:

Sow directly in March-April (sow in September-October in hot and dry climates) in well-prepared, weed-free, refined and raked soil. Scatter the seeds on the soil surface and lightly rake to cover the seeds. Alternatively, use a roller to ensure the seeds stick to the soil. Regularly water with a fine spray to keep the soil slightly moist until germination if there is no rain.

Dosage:

  • 1 box of 1 kg for 35 m², approximately 28 g/m²
