Description

We offer you a Collection of 3 Fritillaries, consisting of:

1 Fritillaria 'Lutea'

1 Fritillaria 'Prolifera'

1 Fritillaria 'Raddeana'

The stiff stems bear spikes of 15 to 20 fragrant bell-shaped flowers.

Majestic and elegant, fritillaries add height to your tulip beds.

Another advantage is that their bulbs emit an odour that repels rodents, especially moles, helping to protect your tulip bulbs without bothering you: the odor is imperceptible once the bulb is planted.

Labeled separately.

Planting and care

Imperial Fritillaries thrive in full sun. They need light but not necessarily direct sunlight. They love a continental climate where winters and summers are dry and springs are humid. Plant them in fertile and well-drained soil. Avoid heavy soil as it may lead to the development of fungi. Also, if drainage is insufficient, the fritillary may rot. Plant them from September to October, adding sand, gravel, or pumice to the planting hole. Place the bulb at a depth of 20 cm (8in). In winter, we recommend mulching the fritillary. Remove faded flowers if you do not want them to self-seed.
