Planting and care

Scilla litardierei thrives in both sun and partial shade. Plant the bulbs in autumn in a moist but well-drained soil, at a depth of 8-10cm (3-4in). When grown in containers, place them in full light under cover, using a mix that consists of equal parts of loam, leaf compost, and gravel. Water the perennial regularly but avoid excessive watering during its growth. Keep it dry during the summer. Scilla thrives in the Mediterranean climate with humid winters.
