Parsley is a biennial herbaceous plant cultivated as a condiment in the herb garden for its stems, leaves, and, for certain varieties, its root (Tuberous Parsley). Flat or curly, it is finely chopped and used in dishes such as the very green Lebanese Tabouleh. This highly popular herb can be transplanted in the ground or in a pot in a light soil from April to September and can be harvested all year round. Regular harvesting stimulates leaf production. Notable varieties of Parsley include the plants of Curly Parsley 'Grüne Perle' with its high content of vitamin C: 100g of parsley contains four times more vitamin C than 100g of an orange.
