The Pendulous Chanson Pink and White Bicolor Begonia, has the Latin name Begonia x tuberhybrida pendula Chanson Pink and White Bicolor. It is a Begonia resulting from rigorous horticultural selection focused on creating a variety with a long and abundant double flowering resembling Camellia flowers.
The Begonias from which it originates live in a cool and shaded environment, sheltered from direct sunlight. The same applies to its installation in our gardens, terraces, balconies, and windows.
Cultivate the Pendulous Chanson Pink and White Bicolor Begonia in a pot, in rich and moist soil. It is a semi-hardy perennial plant that is sensitive to temperatures below 5°C. Therefore, in autumn, it will be necessary to bring the pots indoors, let the foliage dry out, and then extract the tubers from the soil, brush them, and store them in a dry place until the following spring.
The plant develops long flexible stems from 45 cm (17.7 in) up to 80 cm (31.5 in) long, which rise to a height of 20-30 cm (7.9 - 11.8 in) before bending and cascading with flowers. Its leaves, typical of Begonias, are asymmetrical, toothed, with a bright green color slightly tinged with red along the edges. The hairy stems, tinged with red, contribute to the decorative beauty of its foliage.
From July to October, abundant flowering covers a large part of the foliage. The flowers are large double or semi-double bell-shaped blooms, 5-10 cm (2 - 3.9 in) long, bicolored in pink and white, and hanging.
Its trailing habit is ideal for flowering pots on the terrace, planters and hanging baskets on balconies and windows in shaded areas.

Attention: The seed of Begonia is very fine. Open the packet delicately on both sides with a pair of scissors.
Sow the Begonia during the Chanson Pink and White Bicolor from January to March in a seed tray. Use good quality compost that you will sieve on the surface to bind the seed to its substrate. Before sowing, lightly press the compost with a board and moisten it lightly. Sow your seeds gently. Do not cover the seeds. Water with a very fine drizzle or with a small hand sprayer. Place your seed tray in a well-lit area, without direct sunlight, at a temperature of 24°C to 27°C.
The germination of the seeds will take 15 to 60 days. As soon as the plants are manipulable, transplant them into 7cm (2.8 in) pots. Keep the compost moist but not excessive during growth. Then, 15 days before their final planting, start gradually acclimatizing them to a temperature of 15°C.
By the end of May or early June, the temperature in the garden will be warm enough to plant your young plants. Choose a shaded location. Add a good handful of compost to each planting hole. Space your plants 20cm (7.9 in) apart.
Regularly remove faded flowers to maintain their beauty and promote renewal.
In autumn, bring the pots indoors and allow the foliage to dry before extracting the tubers from the soil, brushing them off, and storing them dry until the following spring when they can be replanted in pots.

Hardiness is the lowest winter temperature a plant can endure without suffering serious damage or even dying. However, hardiness is affected by location (a sheltered area, such as a patio), protection (winter cover) and soil type (hardiness is improved by well-drained soil).
