Description
IMPORTANT: out of concern for preserving our natural ecosystems, we have removed this plant from our catalogue as it is considered invasive. It is therefore no longer available for sale.
Perennial grass with evergreen arching medium green leaves. Generous tufts of stiff, flat leaves.
In September, silky silver spikelets, often tinged with pink or purple, appear on upright stems.
Caution: Pampas grass proves to be invasive in some regions. Escaped from gardens, it colonizes fallow lands, sandy environments, and wet areas, causing significant ecological disruption. If you live in a region of concern we recommend that you don't plant it. It can be replaced by numerous architectural grasses, such as Miscanthus.

Planting and care
Grow in the sun, in fertile, well-drained soil, ensuring enough space for the young plant's development. Protect the stumps of young plants during the first winters. In February-March, clean the clumps to remove the old stems and dry leaves. Wear thick gloves to avoid cutting yourself.
Advice: Dare to go tall with these giant plants that give structure and balance in the garden. The tallest ones, when planted alone, will give volume and lightness against a dark backdrop of hedge or conifers. Those of medium size will dress up raised beds, for example of giant dahlias.

It will vary according to where you live:
- In zones 9 to 10 (Italy, Spain, Greece, etc.), flowering will occur about 2 to 4 weeks earlier.
- In zones 6 to 7 (Germany, Poland, Slovenia, and lower mountainous regions), flowering will be delayed by 2 to 3 weeks.
