Not as tall as expected, but the flowering is peculiar and long-lasting.

Planting and care

Alliums are easy-to-grow plants. Plant them preferably before the end of October so that they have enough time to settle in well. They are sensitive to moisture. Give them a sunny spot in well-drained soil, even if rocky. Plant larger bulbs at a depth of 10 or 15cm (4 or 6in), spaced 15cm (6in) apart. Plant smaller bulbs at a depth of 10cm (4in), spaced 7cm (3in). They are undemanding, but do prefer poor soils.
