A selection of Dahlias to decorate the borders for long weeks, from July to October. These are dwarf varieties, not exceeding 50-60 cm (20-24in) high, which require no staking and are resistant to wind and rain. These small versions of dahlias also offer an extensive palette of colours, bright or pastel, and flowers of various shapes. Fans of single flowers will appreciate our 'Happy Single' Dahlia Collection with very dark, almost black foliage, which highlights their vibrant colours. In more romantic tones, also discover the Gallery Dwarf Dahlias Collection with ruffled double flowers. The Red Pygmy Dwarf Cactus Dahlia boasts large deep red flowers that are also very beautiful in bouquets. Among the decorative dahlias, the 'Berliner Lemon' variety with its pale lemon yellow is one of the shortest, at 50 cm (20in) high. The Dahlia is a tender plant, but easy to grow in the sun as long as it has a light, rich soil that doesn't dry out too much in summer. All border varieties are also perfectly suited to pot cultivation. To extend the flowering of your dahlias until the end of summer, make bouquets and regularly remove faded flowers.
