Description

You will know that it is important not to confuse perennial Geraniums with the ones that bloom on balconies, which are actually Pelargoniums -  but it's always good to be reminded. Whatever your garden style, needs or taste, there is definitely a Geranium - or several Geraniums - ready to charm you. In recent years many advances have been made, especially through cross-breeding of very robust and vigorous species with ones that are very floriferous but not very hardy. The result is robust plants with a spectacular flowering period.

'Alaska' forms a vigorous and very hardy clump. It has foliage similar to that of G. pratense. Very long flowering period in an almost lilac blue. Flowers with petals thinner than those of 'Brookside' and slightly lighter in colour. Growth is also more vigorous, which makes it more suitable for the background of a border than for the front.
