Plants purchased in 2020, the three bulbs have taken well to the open ground. They bloomed the following year and have been blooming every year since in a moderately sunny location. A superb plant, and even more so if one takes care to mulch it.

Planting and care

Plant it like amaryllis in a not-too-large pot, alone or pairs in a good mix of soil and compost, and water regularly while allowing the soil to dry between two waterings. It can be planted in the autumn in a lightly heated room for winter flowering or outdoors in the spring after the last frost for autumn flowering. Keep it frost-free; bring it indoors when the temperature approaches 3° (37.4°F). It is cultivated in the ground only in coastal regions without frost.
