Triteleias are beautiful star-shaped flowers that flood the garden in early summer. These bulbous plants form a clump of lanceolate, slender, medium green leaves in spring, giving way to short umbel inflorescences. From June to August, the funnel-shaped flowers are very striking in blue, white, yellow or pink. The variety Triteleia 'Rudy', reaching a height of 25cm (10in), has beautiful white star-shaped flowers with violet markings. In March, Triteleias are planted in rocky or sandy, well-drained soil in a sunny or semi-shaded position in the south of France. Hardy down to -10°C (14°F), they do not tolerate competition, so provide an open space for them. In cold and humid regions, they should be planted directly in sand to avoid bulb rot. Triteleias are used in rock gardens or as borders in dry gardens, alongside Nepetas, Stipa or Pennisetums.

You'll adore them!
