I have just received three bulbs, two of which resemble small dried dog droppings, less than 10 cm (4in) in size. The third one measures 18 cm (7in) but is cracked and a bit wrinkled...

Planting and care

Plant your incarvillea roots upright, with the wide part to which several fleshy roots are attached at the top. The top of your bulb should be covered with at least 8 to 10 cm (3 to 4in) of soil. This will prevent your flowering plant from snapping by the first strong gust of wind. Hardy bulb in warm climates. In other regions, heavily mulch your well-drained and non-wet soil in winter. We recommend removing your bulbs in wet areas in October and replanting them in early April.
