Description
Oxalis deppei will greatly increase your chances of finding a four-leaf clover! Its clover-like green leaves are spotted with brown-purple. They are accompanied by a multitude of bright pink flowers.
This little bulbous plant is not very hardy, so it is more practical to grow it in pots and bring it inside as soon as winter arrives, or to use it as an indoor plant. However, brave gardeners can plant them in flower beds! Oxalis deppei has a beautiful effect in the garden, but the rhizomes will need to be dug up and stored away at the end of the growing season. Flowering occurs when the plant is happy. If planted outdoors, the flowers will appear with the heat of July. Indoor plants can bloom at any time.
Do not worry if the foliage seems to wither; it is a sensitive plant whose leaves fold up at the slightest breeze.

Plant your Oxalis deppei bulbs as soon as you receive them, at a depth of 5 to 7cm (2 to 3in), spaced 7 to 8cm (3in) apart. They are extraordinary in pots and produce more flowers each year. They are suitable for indoor use and on patios and balconies. They can be grown in the garden in regions without winter frost. Oxalis likes a warm exposure without scorching sun. You can keep it in flowering pots at home. Plant 5 bulbs in a pot measuring 18 to 20cm (7 to 8in). You can easily divide your plant during its dormant period.
