Summer bulbs for shade bring flowers to areas that receive little sun, without sacrificing colour or beautiful foliage. They can be planted in light woodland, at the foot of a north-facing wall, in a cool flower bed, or on a lightly sunny terrace. In this category, you will mainly find tuberous begonias, arums, bletillas and a few rarer subjects. Depending on the variety, plant them in humus-rich soil, damp in summer, or simply in loose, well-drained soil.

Begonia Bertinii is distinguished by its long, red flowering period, in a pot or in a cool border. Arum italicum 'Marmoratum', or Italian arum, is a semi-shade plant with very beautiful white-marbled foliage. Bletilla striata Rose, a small terrestrial orchid, readily establishes itself in a shady flower bed or large pot. Also discover Cardiocrinum giganteum, a large and beautiful species that thrives in deep, rich, moist soil.
To green up shady areas, we also offer a wide choice of lily of the valley and Arisaemas (Cobra plants).
