Antipodes Garden - Garden/Patio Trend 2026 is a collection of succulent plants inspired by the dry landscapes of southern Africa. Fleshy rosettes, cacti and succulents blend into a mineral setting. In cold climates, grow these plants in pots on the patio during the warmer months, in a conservatory or in a very bright room during winter.

Aloes dominate the selection, with Aloe ferox and Aloe dichotoma, two plants with plenty of character. Crassulas offer more compact forms, such as Crassula arborescens 'Curly Grey', with blue-grey foliage, or Crassula perforata, whose leaves are stacked along the stems. Euphorbias, particularly Euphorbia horrida, Euphorbia horrida 'Alba' and Euphorbia globosa, enhance the mineral character of this type of setting. In hanging baskets, Ceropegia woodii, Cotyledon pendens and Senecio herreianus have a very different appearance, with their trailing stems.

This selection of plants is at home on sheltered patios and balconies, in courtyards, conservatories and bright interiors. To create and enhance your own antipodes garden, explore our range of cacti and succulents.
