Description

Alstromeria Inca Avanti, also known as the Inca Lily, is a highly floriferous hybrid. It consists of fringed deep pink flowers with a yellow centre speckled with brown, all forming a ball. Its leaves are dark green. It is a perennial that has a long and generous flowering period from June to October.

The Inca Avanti has a compact habit. This plant is attractive to butterflies and bees. It reaches a height and spread of 30cm (12in) at maturity.

Alstromerias are perfect for pots, borders, or containers. They originate from the Andes. 

Our Alstromerias are delivered as plug plants measuring 4cm (2in) x 3.6cm (1in), with green foliage and a height of 5cm (2in).

Planting and care

Alstroemeria Inca Avanti is easily cultivated in a well-drained and light soil, mixed with sand and compost. Place it in full sun or partial shade, under cover. Plant Alstroemeria during the summer months, respecting a spacing of 15cm (6in), for a continuous flowering from June to the first frost. Mulch it for its first winter in the open ground and do not disturb it during the first season. Alstroemerias are very hardy and generous in flowering.
