Out of three bulbs, only one will bloom - it is important to be more careful in providing larger-sized bulbs, or clearly indicate that they are not suitable for flowering.

Planting and care

It is sensitive to frost and should be grown in a pot or stored before the first frosts. Plant it in rich and light compost. Ideally, it should be planted in a pot early in the season (from February), covered with 5cm (2in) of soil. Leave the pot in the sun, and water regularly. After the last frost, take the pot outside to a sunny position. It is a heavy feeder and requires regular organic fertiliser. Change the soil in the pot every year. It grows quite slowly.
