This Annual French Marigold Collection at a low price allows every flower lover to create colourful pots or flower borders at an advantageous price. It brings together three different varieties with a compact habit and a long summer flowering in radiant tones. French marigolds and African marigolds are star annuals in summer beds due to their very easy cultivation. They are planted in the sun, in borders or in pots on the terrace. Their strong stems allow for beautiful summer bouquets. The smell of their foliage and the substances secreted by their roots repel certain pests, making them valuable allies in the vegetable garden.
This collection is sold in sets of 5 plug plants:
x 2 French marigolds 'Fireball': a variety that reaches 25cm in height and 30cm in width, with pompom flowers that change colour over time. They go from golden yellow to light orange, then to dark red. The whole plant, multicoloured, forms a true flamboyant bouquet from May to June to September.
x 2 African marigolds 'Bonanza Orange': a variety that reaches 30cm in height and 25cm in width, with strong stems, whose early flowering begins in May. It offers double flowers of 6cm, in a very bright orange, on a beautiful dark green fern-like foliage.
x 1 French marigold 'Durango Yellow': a variety that reaches 25cm in all directions, with barely double flowers of 5cm, in an intense golden yellow, absolutely pure, perfectly highlighted by a beautiful dark green and aromatic cut foliage. Flowering from June to September.
The French marigolds in this collection naturally find their place in window boxes and flower pots. They can also be installed in small touches at the front of flower beds, respecting a spacing of 30cm between each plant. Their flamboyant colours will be tempered by grey foliage and blue flowers. Plant them in the middle of Ageratums, 'Silver Dust' Cinerarias, and silver Santolinias. Also sow 'Miss Jekyll' Blue love-in-a-mist among the plants in your flower bed.

Botanical data
Marigolds are fast-growing plants that thrive in the sun and in hot conditions. They can be grown in pots or in the ground. Plant them in fertile, well-drained, light soil. Avoid excessive watering in summer, as this promotes the development of fungal diseases and root rot. Regularly remove faded flowers to prolong flowering. Protect the plants from slugs and snails, which are fond of them.

Hardiness is the lowest winter temperature a plant can endure without suffering serious damage or even dying. However, hardiness is affected by location (a sheltered area, such as a patio), protection (winter cover) and soil type (hardiness is improved by well-drained soil).
