More information

This composition brings together 3 different varieties of Villetta trailing geraniums with large flowers in a single pot, red, mauve lilac and white. With a pretty semi-trailing habit, they have a long and generous flowering from May-June to October. These drought and heat resistant plants, are perfectly adapted to very sunny exposures. The composition needs to be repotted in a larger and wider container such as a trough or hanging basket, to adorn the balcony or terrace.

Description

The Villetta Red Lilac White composition brings together 3 different varieties of trailing geraniums with large single flowers from the Villetta series in a single pot, selected for their exceptionally early and extended flowering. The plants have a beautiful semi-trailing habit, are well-branched, and bloom from May-June until the first frost. Already composed and ready to plant, this trio quickly makes an impact and remains decorative for a long time without requiring much maintenance. They can be installed in a planter, or in a large hanging basket to decorate the terrace or balcony.

The Villetta Red Lilac White pot consists of:

- 1 x Pelargonium Villetta Red: vibrant red

- 1 x Pelargonium Villetta Lilac: mauve-pink with purple stamens

- 1 x Pelargonium Villetta White: white with touches of dark pink in the throat

The Villetta ivy geranium is derived from the Pelargonium x peltatum, also known as Pelargonium x hederaefolium or ivy geranium. It is a frost-tender perennial plant of the geranium family originating from horticulture, whose ancestors are native to South Africa. This hybrid is characterized by a trailing but bushy habit, and long branched stems are adorned with glossy, rounded leaves divided into pointed lobes, which can persist in winter if the plant is kept frost-free. Ivy-leaved geranium is not very hardy (down to -4°C (24.8°F) approximately) so often grown as an annual in our climates.

Grown in the same pot, these Villetta geraniums quickly fill their container and gracefully overflow. They will need to be repotted in a larger container or hanging basket, preferably wide to showcase them on the balcony or terrace. They are drought-tolerant and heat-tolerant.
