Purple and Copper – 2026 Trend Garden Colours

Our Purple and Copper selection, featured in the 2026 garden trends guide, combines purple foliage with copper-coloured flowers and caramel shades. From deep burgundy to amber orange, these colours bring a warm and enveloping atmosphere to the garden. They invite you to imagine a bed near the dining area, a border along a path or a few beautiful container plants around an armchair on the terrace.

In sun, the orangey, fading flowers of yarrow 'Terracotta' stand out against the dark foliage of Cotinus 'Royal Purple'. In partial shade, heuchera 'Southern Comfort' unfurls its large peach and copper-coloured leaves in a border or a weathered pot. The tulip 'Cairo', in coppery orange, offers a glimpse of this harmony from spring onwards.

Terracotta, weathered grey wood and pale gravel complement these colours softly. A few clumps of the same variety, planted on either side of a path, bring unity to the whole garden; on a terrace, a group of containers will create a welcoming corner. Introduce some green foliage to soften and enhance the purple and copper tones. Choose plants suited to the aspect and soil in your garden.
