Our range of creeping junipers. Juniperus, or junipers, are conifers that sometimes take the form of ground cover. These low-growing, creeping, evergreen bushes are appreciated in the garden for their resilience and decorative appeal throughout the year. Among the must-have varieties, Juniperus horizontalis 'Blue Chip' forms a dense carpet of silvery-blue foliage, perfect for dressing up rockeries and slopes. Juniperus communis 'Repanda', with its dark green foliage, is a highly robust plant that adapts to all types of well-drained soil. Juniperus squamata 'Blue Carpet' forms a cushion of bluish leaves that gracefully spreads over several metres. Juniperus horizontalis 'Wiltonii' forms a dense mat of greenish-grey-blue foliage, taking on purple hues in winter, spreading up to 2 metres wide. All these creeping conifers are irreplaceable for structuring and covering rockeries, slopes, or raised beds.
Creeping junipers thrive in full sun, in well-drained, dry to moist soil, depending on the variety. They require little maintenance and are highly resilient once well-established. Their compact and dense foliage also helps limit weed growth, making these conifers an ideal choice for low-maintenance gardens.
