Description

Perennial and floriferous herbaceous plants, always noticeable in a garden. Plants grown in small pots, with only one stem, often give poor results when planted, so we grow them for another year, in larger pots, to encourage branching and promote better establishment in the garden.

Note: From March to September, the stems of our delphiniums are pruned short to promote better branching and achieve optimal root development. This also prevents the stems from breaking during transportation.

Planting and care

Delphiniums are not difficult to grow but dislike heavy and humid soils, as well as dry and poor soils. The soil that suits them is fertile, rich in humus, not compact, moist, even in summer, but without wet excess in winter, and sheltered from strong winds. Under these conditions, they will live for many years. Also, beware of slugs and snails that can cause damage at the beginning of growth.
