Description
A compact, low-growing shrub with erect, thin, hairy branches. Whorls of small, thin, evergreen leaves appear along the stems. The leaves are pointed like those of a heather. From spring to late summer, it produces clusters of bright pink bell-shaped flowers at the ends of the branches.

Plant in a semi-shaded or sunny rockery, but not in scorching sun. The soil should be light, humus-bearing, and stony, but without limestone, composed of 1/3 clayey loam, 1/3 leaf compost, and 1/3 granite or sandstone gravel.
