Beautiful flowers thanks to strong and healthy bulbs. In full bloom, these tulips are a pure marvel. Equally unique foliage."

Description

Tulipa 'Flaming Evita' is a double early tulip bearing large, white double flowers with yellow veins. They bloom in April.

The flowers are perched on tall, sturdy stems that withstand harsh weather conditions well. This new variety reaches a height of 35cm (14in) at maturity.

The double tulip is perfect for large flower beds. By combining it with other tulips, you can maximise the flowering period in the garden. It can be planted in borders, rockeries, pots, and containers. This tulip adds beauty to balconies and patios. The flowers are also perfect for cutting. We recommend planting heucheras, foamflowers, brunneras, bleeding hearts, Cypress spurge in the foreground of your flower beds, as their foliage will enhance the colours of your tulips and, as the season progresses, they will elegantly conceal the tulip's yellowing leaves.

Planting and care

Plant the bulbs from October to December for a beautiful spring flowering. Ideally, choose a sunny location, but they will also grow in a partially shaded area. Plant the bulbs as soon as possible in light, fertile, and well-drained soil. Plant them 15cm (6in) deep (the bulbs should be covered with twice their height of soil). Space the bulbs 10cm (4in) apart (making sure they do not touch each other) to create a mass effect. Cut the flower stems after flowering. Allow the leaves to dry completely before cutting them.
